About Me

Hi, I'm Tess!

I'm a cinematographer passionate about storytelling through light and lens. In May 2025 I graduated from the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) with a B.F.A. in Film & Television and a minor in cinematography.

My approach to cinematography is rooted in creating an aesthetic that best communicates the emotion of a scene, while still creating an immersive atmosphere. I try to emphasize collaboration and authenticity while on set, in order to best bring each story to life.

When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me painting, collecting antique digital and film cameras, or playing with my cat Juniper.

PANGAEA Studios Stage & Facilities Assistant

- Assist in the day to day operations of PANGAEA Studios: including tending to onsite production needs, filming and editing promotional content for the company, and even monitoring HVAC units.

SCAD Film Studios Shift Leader

- Coordinated the efficient distribution of equipment to various student film shoots, maintaining accurate records and tracking inventory levels.

- Maintained a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.

Feature Film - Data Wrangler & Editor

- Edited a one hour and 45 minute long feature film for indie director Susan Thornton.

- Monitored, utilized, and organized over four hard drives with nine terabytes of footage in each.

Broadcast Assistant & Camera Operator

- Organized a broadcasted service as a Camera Operator, aiding in the acquisition of qualilty footage for a live service broadcast.

- Operated a Switch Board during a live broadcast to hundreds of audience members unable to attend service in person.

- Stage Light Programmer for planned set lists; including the monitoring and programming of over 50 stage lights.
